Atlantis considers unpublished scholarly articles, review articles, creative (literary) writing, and book reviews. We welcome material prepared in English or French on any interdisciplinary subject that relates to the critical study of women, gender, and social justice.

Original Research: Atlantis considers original, unpublished scholarly research in the field of critical studies in gender, culture and social justice. Articles must be 7,000 words or less (including references). Double-blind peer review.

Review Articles: Atlantis welcomes reviews and analyses of existing research in the field/s of critical studies. 7,000 words or less (including references). Double-blind peer review.

Literary Works: Atlantis accepts submissions of literary work. Poems must not exceed two pages; short stories and creative nonfiction must not exceed 3,000 words. Content must relate to gender, culture and/or social justice. Editorial review.

Book Reviews: Atlantis invites reviews of books related to critical studies of gender, culture and social justice. This includes both scholarly and literary books. We consider reviews of single books as well as “review essays” of multiple, related books. In general, books must be recent (published within one year of the review request) or forthcoming. We are particularly interested in reviews of books by Canadian authors. 1,000 words or less. Editorial review.
