Abstract

Despair and empowerment work is a process for expressing pain for the world and gaining power to grow and make change through this--whether relating to the issues of nuclear threat, environmental destruction or human oppression. It is a way of gaining a sense of power within. Women's empowerment tradition assists women to bring their own needs into focusand gain control of their lives, individually and collectively--a way of gaining a sense of power within.
